In recent years, the IT department at housing corporation Haag Wonen has done everything it can to facilitate an important transition from an operational IT management model to a more service-oriented, agile way of working.
With only a small, dedicated IT team and a large number of operational tasks to complete every day, it was clear that Haag Wonen needed to find an alternative route to deliver IT services. “We were extremely busy keeping the current situation intact, instead of focusing on strategy and future developments,” says ICT Manager Jasper Wever. This is the reason why the organisation adopted a new approach which involved outsourcing the majority of operational tasks to a trusted partner. This enables the ICT department to focus on aligning business and IT.
Proact is now delivering key services through its Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS), Service Management for Storage and Service Management for Backup offerings. Moving forward, Haag Wonen will also take part in workshops that will be based on Proact’s Business Cloud Alignment methodology. This bespoke consultancy service helps businesses select the right cloud for the right workload.
“When we were looking for a solution, Proact’s answers to our questions were very much on point. This was confirmed when we met the team in the Proact office. After this visit, we were fully convinced Proact would be able to deliver,” says Jasper Wevers, ICT Managerat Haag Wonen.
