Simple management. Agility. Proact Hybrid Cloud.Download the case study
Two set-ups, one infrastructure
Comcare has eased the pressure placed on its physical data centre and has regulated the need for additional server power by adopting a Proact Hybrid Cloud solution. The e-commerce provider values easy management and agility so chose our hybrid solution that naturally extended the existing data centre into a comprehensive, unified infrastructure.
Comcare is the market leader for e-commerce solutions for the public sector and provides services for handling e-documents between suppliers and the public sector. Since 2010 Comcare has helped more than 50,000 users handle more than 500,000 orders worth more than 500 million DKK.
Manages on-premises and cloud-based data centres
Guaranteed easy administration and fast overviews
Avoids over-investment and lack of capacity
Comcare’s physical data centre has been tied up by significant customer growth. Increasing numbers of municipal and regional organisations are choosing Comcare’s e-commerce solution for procurement, contracting and supply management, resulting in a need for multiple users to access the browser-based solution simultaneously. Facing this increased demand, Comcare needed to make a choice: It could either upgrade its existing environment and invest in new equipment, or engage with a partner to add capacity as necessary through a hybrid cloud solution.
Comcare examined various options and decided to extend its data centre with a Proact Hybrid Cloud solution. Proact already provided Comcare with storage and backup services; however, the choice to expand the relationship depended largely on one critical functionality: The ability to manage two data centres as one. The platform acts as an extension of Comcare's network, with two physical locations that can be managed as one so data flows effortlessly between two data centres.
We trust Proact and their thought-through functionalities. I confidently place Comcare’s infrastructure with Proact.
