AB “SEB bankas” is part of Sweden’s SEB Group and is one of the largest commercial banks in Lithuania. SEB Bank’s corporate group in Lithuania includes “SEB bankas”, as well as four subsidiary companies, and provides services to more than one million customers all over the country.
The bank was looking to consolidate and streamline its IT operations with the help of a trusted advisor. SEB bankas was also challenged because it had ageing servers with high CPU utilisation, in addition to Oracle components in its environment which were also in need of an uplift.

The consolidation of Oracle applications from ageing servers to new Oracle SPARC servers provided the additional performance that SEB bankas required. The updated environment also lowers the overall rack space needed and decreases power consumption. Proact’s design also allowed for a smooth migration with minimal downtime.
