Proact solves Tarsier's recruitment conundrumDownload the case study
When Tarsier Studios was looking to temporarily replace its IT manager, the company’s first idea was to recruit someone new. But the solution was closer to home than that; a consultant from trusted advisor Proact who already understood the gaming studio’s IT environment.
Tarsier Studios is a Swedish game development company based in Karlshamn. Tarsier has been working with PlayStation ever since the company began in 2006, and its projects include working on the development of the LittleBigPlanet series. Good results and strong growth have gradually created greater opportunities for Tarsier. The company has altered its strategy from being a Sony partner working on project assignments, becoming an independent gaming studio with its name on products.
Expertise from specialists across 15 countries
The consultant can get to work straightaway
An experienced partner with a proven track record
For Tarsier Studios, game development in a professional IT environment is at the heart of everything it does, which places the IT manager in a key position. The company was looking for a secure solution when its IT manager went off on parental leave. A quick replacement was required to keep the developer's game production chain going. Despite the need for a quick recruitment process, the hired individual also needed to have advanced IT knowledge and experience in an IT intensive organisation.
Proact suggested that Tarsier recruited one of our experienced consultants, who could fulfil the IT manger role for the upcoming year. This recruitment method not only saved time as candidates didn't need to be interviewed and agencies dealt with, but also meant that the studio could rely on someone with existing knowledge of the IT environment, saving time on training and on-boarding. Tarsier will benefit from an experienced professional being amongst its ranks, who can always gain support from the wider Proact Group.
A recruitment agency would only have given us one temp, but working with Proact means we can rely on support from the entire organisation. This is a real plus, and it means a lot to us.
