Wi-Fi as a Service
Fast, secure and reliable wireless access across multiple locations
Employees and customers alike expect fast, reliable Wi-Fi
Organisations depend on it. But managing on-premises wireless controllers can be complicated, time-consuming and expensive. Not only is there the capital outlay for the hardware, you'll also have to make sure you either employ specialists with the right skills or tie up your own people with maintenance and management. That's why more and more organisations, particularly those with multiple locations, are taking advantage of our Wi-Fi as a Service (WaaS) expertise.
What is Wi-Fi as a Service?
For a monthly subscription, we'll manage every aspect of your Wi-Fi for you. We do this via secure, remote connections, saving you the cost of employing and training staff to manage Wi-Fi across multiple locations, possibly in different countries. We provide wireless access for Wi-Fi enabled devices across all your locations (both inside and out). It's a cloud-based solution that replaces traditional on-premises wireless controllers. It works for single offices as well as for multiple locations not connected via a corporate WAN.
We'll provide your Access Points (APs) and their activation licences. We can install your APs for an additional fee, or you can arrange this yourself with a third-party installer or with your facilities manager.
Once your APs are set up, we will monitor and manage your Wi-Fi on an ongoing basis, ensuring you enjoy uninterrupted connectivity without ever having to lift a finger. The service also includes any upgrades that may become available, reporting, software support and hardware replacement. Everything you need to provide your employees or customers with the fast, reliable Wi-Fi that they expect.
Secure, remote control
We'll configure, monitor and manage your Access Points (APs) remotely, 24/7, from an Internet-facing Wireless Controller Portal (WCP) in our technology provider's datacentre. We use a proprietary Internet Site-to-Site VPN based on IPSec to encrypt communication between your APs and the WCP. No wireless data is every sent, just metadata.
Our solution includes a self-service portal, so you can view Wi-Fi status, usage and bandwidth, as well as run usage reports and log change requests. You'll also be able to create guest accounts so that you can grant temporary access. Alternatively, let users enroll themselves or pay for access. Whatever options you go for, you can rely on us to ensure your users are enjoying the best possible Wi-Fi.
We don't just do Wi-Fi
Thanks to our broad network expertise, we can integrate your Wi-FiaaS with other key managed network services, such as WAN as a Service, LAN as a Service or Firewall as a Service. If you've ever had to deal with different suppliers to troubleshoot network issues, especially on a global scale, you'll appreciate just how beneficial having one single provider can be.
