Logistics service provider relies on Proact know-how for email security
The global full-service logistics provider, Geis, with over 6,800 employees across Europe, handle around 100,000 e-mails every day. The e-mails can potentially be the transport for cyber attacks of all kinds. In order to minimise the security risk, Geis wanted to check each e-mail fully and automatically before it was delivered to the mailbox or it would be quarantined if necessary.
Challenge
To minimise external threats from unknown malware, unclassified URLs, and email and ransomware attacks, an email sandboxing system was required. In order to ensure smooth communication and efficient processes, the security check must not exceed five minutes per email. Solution
Following a month-long test of alternaltive solutions, Geis chose the solution proposed by Proact. The developed and refined configuration was transferred, and the production system was immediately ready to go. Proact also supported the IT team in setting up the virtual machines for sandboxing and set up a second system to serve as a backup.
“Proact made us feel comfortable. Everything was right from the start. Proact invested time into consultancy and planning, and coordinated tests with our ideas. During the test phase, Proact kept following up to see whether everything was running and whether adjustments were necessary. Such intensive support creates trust.”
