We have a very exciting opportunity to join our growing Product Support Group (Field Service) team, based in Chesterfield, with the successful candidate receiving comprehensive training across a range of technologies. This is the perfect position for someone looking for a start or progression within the IT industry.

Attitude, ability, personality and drive are the most important attributes at Proact, so whilst a background from within the technology sector would be advantageous, it is not essential.

Candidates must be confident with travelling and navigating around major cities, driving long distances and working in a warehouse and office environment.

Applicant Requirements


  • Delivery of computer components to customer sites across the UK to meet strict SLA’s.
  • Replacement of failed computer components at customer sites across the UK.
  • Installation, moving and removal of Enterprise computer equipment across the UK.
  • Out of Hours Standby (upon completion of training).

Must have:

  • Current clean driving licence with minimum 2 years driving experience.
  • Technical background relating to PC/server repair and upgrades.
  • The ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work late and weekends on occasions. (May include overnight stays)
  • Willingness to learn new technologies for service and maintenance purposes.

Could have:

  • Field working experience preferred but not essential.
  • Experience of driving fleet vehicles from car to transit van size.
  • Server/SAN systems knowledge.
  • Datacentre experience
  • General IT experience
  • Microsoft Office experience.
