Proact enables seamless cloud migration

Extensive preparation was critical to ensure Samhall’s migration from managed email servers to Office 365 was completed efficiently and effectively. The company, which is Sweden’s largest state owned organisation with 600 sites across the country, didn’t want this work to hinder any of its 3,000 users. Following this successful transition, Samhall has now set its sights on the second phase of the project, leveraging the potential of Office 365, creating more value from the cloud platform.

Challenge

For a large organisation such as Samhall, migrating to Office 365 involves much more than simply moving user accounts and mailboxes from the existing Exchange servers. That’s why the company sought an expert partner to assist with the transition, who could make sure that the move happened without disruption. Samhall also wanted advice on best practices, and required expertise to help plan the integration of other services such as Skype for Business.

Solution

By conducting workshops, tests and pilots, Proact was able to devise an effective migration plan. The strategy, which our experts developed, perfectly aligned with Samhall’s IT strategy – to place workloads in the cloud wherever possible. Samhall also selected our Service Management offering to make sure configurations and updates were always implemented where necessary, while also freeing IT resource from the timely task of searching for information.
